The 10th Annual Wines of Chile Awards were held in Santiago last week. This year’s judges were from Asia and Chile and after three days of arduous blind tasting of over 600 wines, 18 trophies were awarded to those wines considered best in their category.
Sideral 2009 from Viña Altair has won the trophy for Best Red Blend, a great accolade for this pioneering winery in the foothills of the Andes producing world-beating Cabernet based wines. This stunning wine will be here in late -Spring.
In addition, Tabalí Reserva Especial Red Blend 2009 from Viña Tabalí & Coyam 2010 from Emiliana Organic have both won Gold Medals.
